Joe
Roseland is the owner of
Mission Duncan Insurance Agency. He was born in San Antonio
and raised in McAllen. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in
Mathematics from Pan American University and his Master’s
Degree in Mathematics from Arizona State University. Joe is
active in church and community affairs. He has served on the
Parish Council and the Finance Committee for St Paul
Catholic Church for the past 20 years. He is a past member
and chairman of the Mission Chamber of Commerce and was
elected to three terms as a trustee on the Mission
Consolidated Independent School District Board and served
twice as Chairman of the Board. Joe currently serves as the
Chairman of the Mission Economic Development Corporation and
Vice-Chairman of the Mission Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone
Board. He and his wife Rosemary have three children and six
grandchildren.

Sara Valdez has been with Mission
Duncan Insurance Agency since 1972. She is licensed as a
General Lines Property and Casualty Agent. She services our
personal lines property and casualty clients. Sara is
involved with many different community service projects,
some of which are the Texas Citrus Fiesta, Damas Catolicas
and Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She is also involved
with her parish of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.

Sylvia Wolf has been with Mission Duncan Insurance
Agency since 1981. She worked as a Customer Service
Representative insuring home and auto until she changed to
commercial insurance in 1987. She received her General Lines
Property and Casualty Agent’s license in 1990 and is
currently the Commercial Lines Account Manager. Sylvia is
involved in many areas of the community. She works with the
Texas Citrus Fiesta and Mission Garden Club. She was on the
Board of Directors for the Mission Chamber of Commerce and
served as the first woman president from 1993-1994. She is
also involved with her parish, St Paul Catholic Church. She
resides in Mission with her husband Marvin. They have a
daughter, Penny Renee, who resides in Houston.

Keith Padilla is the
owner of
Mission Duncan Financial Services and joined with Mission
Duncan Insurance Agency in June of 1998. He received his
degree in finance from Southwest Texas State University. His
areas of specialties include employee benefits, investments,
retirement planning and consulting for small businesses.
Keith is originally from Alamogordo, NM and moved to Austin,
TX in January of 1990. He has been an active member of
Rotary since 1999. He is currently serving his second term
as a board member for the Mission Economic Development
Authority. Keith is active with St. Paul Church in Mission
and enjoys spending time with his 3 children and his lovely

Minnie Perez has been with Mission
Duncan Insurance Agency since 1993. Minnie is the claims
supervisor for the agency. She also assists the agents with
endorsements and billing inquiries. She is a member of Our
Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where she has been a CCD
teacher for 10 years. She lives in Mission with her husband.
They have one daughter and two grandchildren who currently
live out of state.

Kathy Van Ness has been with
Mission Duncan Insurance Agency since October of 2002. She
is licensed as a Personal Lines Property and Casualty Agent
and she is a personal lines account manager. Kathy is
originally from Alamogordo, NM and moved to the Valley in
2002. Her hobbies include running, music and cooking. She
and her husband Gary are involved in many areas of their
parish of St Paul Catholic Church. They have two children
and two grandchildren living in New Mexico.

Ginger Padilla has been with
Mission Duncan Insurance Agency since 2003. She received her
Personal Lines Property and Casualty Agent’s License in 2009
and is the Office Manager at Mission Duncan. She attended
Southwest Texas State University where she earned a
Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Prior to working at Mission
Duncan she was a stay-at-home mom raising three children.
Ginger is involved with her parish of St Paul Catholic
Church. She lives in Mission with her husband Keith and
their three children.

Cory Mendez has been with Mission
Duncan Insurance Agency since May of 2005. She is part of
the support staff that assists with claims, endorsements and
quotes for both personal and commercial lines. She became
licensed as a Personal Lines Property and Casualty Agent in
June of 2009. When not at work she enjoys reading and
walking her dogs Pepper and Toby.

Nancy Piñon has been with Mission
Duncan Insurance Agency since 2007. Prior to working for
Mission Duncan she worked at Texas General Agency in San
Antonio from 2004-2006. Nancy began her work at Mission
Duncan as an assistant to the agents. She received her
General Lines Property and Casualty Agent’s License in 2008
and now works with both commercial and personal insurance.

Crissy Cantu has been with Mission
Duncan Insurance Agency since 2008. She received her
Personal Lines Property and Casualty Agent’s License in
2009. She is a personal lines account manager for the
agency. She currently attends the University of Texas Pan
American where she is working on a degree in Rehabilitation.
She is a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church of McAllen.
She enjoys singing, dancing, biking and photography. She
resides in Mission with her husband and their daughter.

Sheila Fernald has been with
Mission Duncan Insurance Agency since November of 2005. She
is licensed as a General Lines Property and Casualty Agent.
She is also licensed in life, accident and health insurance.
Additionally, she has a non-residence license for life and
health insurance in various other states. Prior to being an
insurance agent Sheila was employed as a high school math
teacher in the public school system. She has degrees in
Master of Education, Bachelor of Science in Education, and
Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Sheila resides in
Mission with her husband and their three children.
